COVID UPDATE: Below is our usual schedule of services. But nothing is usual during the coronavirus pandemic. Please see our “Coping with COVID” page for information on where and how we’re currently conducting services and other activities.
SUNDAYS
9 a.m. – Worship service
Wesley worships in our historic sanctuary at 1725 Gervais Street in downtown Columbia each Sunday morning at 9.
Wesley’s worship is traditional yet very relaxed, and the services vary through the month:
- First Sundays are the most traditional, as we participate in Holy Communion. Our pastor typically wears her clergy collar and our communion servers wear white. Our musical choir renders musical selections.
- Second Sunday – Less formal. Our Male Chorus leads the music.
- Third Sunday. Also less formal than first Sunday. The music is led by the Musical Choir.
- Fourth Sunday. Another less-formal service, with the Praise Team leading the congregation. If there is a fifth Sunday in the month, the service will be the same as on the fourth.
Our Children’s Choir sings on varying Sundays throughout the year.
Children’s Church
In addition, each Sunday during the worship service, Children’s Church occurs. Children’s Church is for children ages 3-9 years old. Teachers use crafts and the Deep Blue Christian curriculum to teach children bible lessons.
Immediately after worship service, we gather for a fellowship breakfast and Sunday School classes for all ages.
BIBLE STUDY
6 p.m. Wednesdays
Bible study is held in the James Gadsden Building next to the sanctuary.
